I’m Yuliya, a documentary and lifestyle photographer.

My approach is documentary, with a focus on capturing human connections. (Take a look at my Instagram to get an idea.)

I first became interested in the medium as a child watching prints materialize under the red light in my father's darkroom, and I have been taking photos ever since. While my images express the more intangible aspects, they also have a formal geometric quality because of my background in mathematics and computer science.

I have also been involved with the Speak Memory Project, an effort to record and preserve the memories and stories of my grandparents' generation.
